The Quang Ninh Department of Culture and Sports distributed registration QR codes to residents, and the programme closes when bibs run out. The course comes with a music night, family games and fireworks. The official message: Running among wonders – Reaching records – Run for Net Zero.

The only named individual in the entire document is Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Tri, General Director of DHA Vietnam. He is an organiser and spokesperson, not a competitor. DHA Vietnam separately owns another race that has achieved a World Athletics Label Road Race title.

Three distances, one fixed date, one heritage venue. That is the entire hard evidence. The rest is marketing language.

Which economy does this race belong to

The word Marathon in the title is a branding convention, not a distance statement. Mass-running circuits across Asia use the term loosely, but the longest distance here is 21 km. Anyone registering in expectation of 42.195 km will not find that distance on the start list. The expectation gap is predictable, and it sits at the registration stage, not at the finish line.

The only quantified record is a headcount, not a performance. A target of 15,000 slots is an operational record, belonging to logistics and publicity rather than to the stopwatch.
